Remembering Norm Kahler

"Sometimes we meet someone who could have been a character in the Bible; someone who would inspire the"ordinary man" to desire to "run the race" (II Timothy 4:7) with every ounce of hope.

Norm was that person who inspired us at Lockport CARES, to dream bigger that life (a transition house) use the skills God gave (his woodworking project building a much needed cabinet, tell others of the need (mailing information about replacement windows), and share the hope (his church, family, friends were inspired by his passion for the homeless).

We are so blessed and inspired because it wasn't about Norm--it was all how he showed us his Savior! We will carry his torch.

Lockport CARES The Habitat for Humanity Lockport affiliate echoes these same sentiments and gives praise to God for the ministry and example of Norm Kahler.
